Congratulations to the UIUC-Princeton vision team for winning first place in the 2007 Semantic Robot Vision Challenge, sponsored by the NSF and the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence. At the beginning of the one-hour competition, all teams were given a list of 20 object items, such as Tide detergent, a scientific calculator, and the DVD Shrek. The robots were required to automatically detect the objects in a real-world setting.

The team included Professor Fei-Fei Li, Juan Carlos Niebles GS, and Brendan Collins '08.
