Congratulations to Princeton CS graduate student Kevin Boutarel for his first-place finish in the Open DayLight /dev/boot bootcamp and hackathon hosted by Cisco Systems and Princeton University.  The November 2-6, 2015, event brought students from several universities together with developers from Cisco and several of Cisco’s largest customers to create open-source solutions for Software-Defined Networking (SDN).  Kevin's team, which included Mike Kowal from Cisco, as well as Oleg Berzin and Yueping Zhang from Verizon, created a "remote black hole" service to reactively block denial-of-service attacks.  http://research.cisco.com/#highlight-princeton
