Professor Margaret Martonosi has won the IEEE Computer Society Technical Achievement Award "for contributions to power-aware computing and energy-constrained mobile sensor networks." She is the only scientist to receive the award in 2018; it will be officially presented at the Computer Software and Applications Conference, July 2018 in Tokyo. For more details, see the full announcement here.
Professor Martonosi has also won the HPCA Test-of-Time Paper Award, to be presented at 24th IEEE International Symposium on High-Performance Computer Architecture (February 24-28 2018, Vienna, Austria) for her 1999 paper, coauthored with David Brooks, entitled "Dynamically exploiting narrow width operands to improve processor power and performance."
